Before making a calculation of safe working pressure from
the allowable working stress and measured wall thickness, a corrosion measurement
or conservative estimate of the corrosion depth is made.
- Tactile measurements should be made.
- Where only a boreoscope can be used, interpretation
of ultrasonic thickness testing should also be used. [
