After the end user is advised of the findings to date,
and has authorized the decision to proceed with hydraulic and pneumatic
recertification for safe probable reuse: It may be that the user has provided
equipment for recertification that was originally for some standard pressure
rating, ex.: 300# service, or 5000 PSI. However the user may be deploying
the equipment in a system protected from over pressurization by a direct
acting non-isolatable relief valve or rupture disk that is rated or set
for a lower pressure. Extended re-usability may therefore be possible
by de-rating to, ad certification for a lower than original nominal rating,
without detriment to the users system functionality.
Hydraulic and Pneumatic Equipment Connection Refurbishment
Before pressure testing can proceed, it will be a
necessity to be able to make a test rig connection to the equipment
under examination.
